Greetings, HRC Family! We are excited to join together in community to serve a picnic lunch to the guests of SHIP each month this Spring and Summer! Our first picnic of this year will be Thursday, May 9th! The picnic will be served outside in a picnic area called Tik-Tock's Grove right behind SHIP in Somerville. We are expecting to feed approximately 40 people, and have a number of ways that you can help! Please consider donating and/or prepping or cooking food, transporting/serving the meal, and/or fellowshipping with the guests at the picnic.
Please have all donated food items at Memorial Hall no later than 7pm on Wednesday, May 8h. If you are able to join us to prepare what we can before the morning, please be at Memorial Hall at 7pm on Wednesday. We are usually there for about an hour.
If you are able to help transport and/or serve the meal, please come to Memorial Hall at 10am on Thursday, May 9th. We will load the cars and head to SHIP to serve lunch from 12-1 pm! The address for SHIP is 87 East High Street, Somerville, NJ. You can park in the lot next door.
This is truly a gift not only for the food insecure that will be served, but for all who take part in this act of loving and compassionate Christ-like care! We hope you can join us, however you are able!
