www.God stands for Women Walking With God. This is not an internet address but the name chosen by a group of Hillsborough Reformed Church women members and friends who meet on a regular basis to encourage and support spiritual growth. After a hiatus, the need for women to come back together for this purpose was deeply felt, and though small, the group has power and purpose. Simply, its mission is…
“ . . . to inspire women in the church and community in their personal walk with God. We intend to use devotional readings based on the Bible and book reviews of Christian literature to encourage women to grow spiritually. We will also use the tool of service to reach out to other women and children in order to meet needs in our congregation, denomination and nearby community.” This group, www.God, holds a strong commitment to spiritual growth, as evidenced by its past dedication to the updating and promotion of the HRC Library, shelved in Memorial Hall. The second part of www.God’s devotion is balancing mission efforts between the HRC congregation, local area agencies, and far-reaching and/or those within the Reformed Church of America denomination. As examples of past activities, we have created Lenten Devotions for our congregation, hosted a talk regarding domestic violence against women, held a baby shower for the “Friendship Center for New Beginnings”, collected needed items for Interfaith Hospitality Network and sent supplies to our missionaries in Honduras.
Our mission, aims and goals are accomplished within a joyful meeting atmosphere. All women who are either Hillsborough Reformed Church members or friends are surely welcome to attend our www.God meetings. Suggestions and ideas are welcome! Please check the HRC website, newsletters and bulletins to discover what's on the www.God horizon. Contact our church office at (908) 359-3391 or e-mail email@example.com. Rest assured, it will be uplifting. Welcome, ladies! Come join us as we all Walk With God!
“We always thank God for all of you, mentioning you in our prayers. We continually remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.”
