The Outreach Committee of Hillsborough Reformed Church is responsible for sharing information about the life of our church with the surrounding community as well as warmly welcoming visitors into our congregation.
We are very excited about the most recent tool that we have available to us, which is our church website. It will continue to be enhanced with information useful both to newcomers as well as to our members.
The committee places large signs at nearby intersections to announce our Easter and Christmas services as well as the start of Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. We also have permanent Hillsborough Reformed Church road signs that help direct people to our church.
We arrange for greeters to welcome those coming for services, to help answer newcomers’ questions and to provide informational brochures about Hillsborough Reformed Church life.
The Outreach Committee makes decisions on ways to reach persons outside of our church, such as placing information in newspapers, visiting neighborhoods and hosting events that will be available to the public.
Every few years, arrangements are made to compile a pictorial directory of the church members which is an extremely helpful tool for new members.
The committee is always looking for new ways to share with others the joy we have in belonging to Hillsborough Reformed Church. We pray that others may experience that joy with us!
Our goal is to reach out into the community with a message of hope—that all can be a part of our community of believers in Jesus Christ.
