Traditional Palm Sunday parade on March 24. During Sunday school the children parade around the church shouting "Hosanna!" and following "Jesus" riding on a "donkey", (sort of a re-enactment of how He entered Jerusalem many, many years ago). It’s a wonderful tradition our church has followed and something the children always look forward to, especially the pony rides in the cemetery!
Join us Maundy Thursday, March 28 in Memorial Hall at 6:30 p.m. for a pot luck supper. At 7:30 pm, Communion will be served at the tables. As in the past this year’s Confirmands will assist Pastor Fred. The sign-up sheet for the pot luck dinner is in the vestibule.
A Tenebrae Service will be held on March 29. The word ‘Tenebrae’ is Latin for shadows. The purpose of the Tenebrae service is to recreate the emotional aspects of the passion story, the betrayal, abandonment, and agony of the events and it is left unfinished, because the story isn’t over until Easter Day. Join us for the scriptural readings and singing.
Plan on coming to the Easter Breakfast on Easter Sunday at 8:15. The “Green Team” is planning another delicious breakfast in Memorial Hall, following the Sunrise Service. Eggs, coffee, tea and juice. WOW! Better than IHOP. See the sign-up sheet in the vestibule.
